We just got these in the mail:RE Factor Tactical Blasting Cap (Multicam) (http://www.refactortactical.com/Blasting-Cap-p/reft-bc.htm)

After owning multiple “tactical ball caps” from companies like Crye, Arc’teryx, SKD, Tru-Spec, this is by far the best. The biggest problem I had with the Arc’teryx BAC was the stitching on the inside of hat rubbing my forehead raw. I like the rip-stop cotton style (with no patch panels) but they seem to need a break in period to get that just right feeling.
It’s made by FlexFit, but designed by REFT. The Multicam material is all stretch, including the Flex-Fit band.

Inside is a VS-17-type (not thick nylon) neon orange panel which adds a little rigidity to the front.

The material seems to breathe and wick moisture much better than the solid front/mesh back or rip-stop style hats.
Patches fit more flush because the loop side panels are completely stitched in place; there is no sharp edge to fray (minus the small top panel).

The hat fits snug like a beanie and just like any Flex-Fit type hat, I don’t expect it to last forever, but I don’t expect any hard-use uniform item to last forever.

Lastly, I appreciate that they didn’t need to plaster the logo on the exterior; we would not have issued it out otherwise.

*I do not work for nor make any profit from REFT. (Thank you taxpayers.)

Glad to see this was executed well. I really liked and followed the concept up until release. Good to see REFT is landing contracts with their original designs. Great group of guys running that company.

If you can answer, how many did you guys purchase? Keep an update if you can with how long it holds up. Under Armor hats are the best I've found to date as far as durability, but they sit too low. It interferes with glasses quite a bit.

There's a serious lack of good hats on the market. Hopefully REFT adds some more civilian friendly colors, and maybe something like the Kryptek line of camos that are gaining popularity.

I was hoping this review would have the 416 and frags and all that in the background. Dave L reviews are famous for the cool guy shit in the background. :-)
