Looking to mount a EO Tech. What's the best way to accomplish this?
Currently running with "dogleg rail" and I want a better sustainable zero.
Thanks

Thank you for that Sir.
There are a number of mounts there, and any suggestions which would be a "best fit" for an EO Tech would be really helpful.
Are you running one of these?
Thanks

I have run the K-Var one which is heavy and bulky, the Midwest industries side rail which is excellent but not as adjustable or as low as the RS Regulate. The RS Regulate is rock solid with a ton of adjustment points. They also have a barrel mounted light mount which is exceptional although I think there are better ways to do this.

Do you already own the EO Tech?

Yes, actually I have two.
Although I'm happy with them, they seem better suited to my AK for me than my AR's.

I think the best, lightest weight option is an Aimpoint on an Ultimak if you have any H1 / T1 laying around

Agreed. Here's my review on the AK-300 system.

If you are trying to run an Eotech: AK-303 lower and AKR upper.

i have a few AK's. arsenal with ultimak, saiga with MI AK hand guard, vepr with plain gas tube.

i recently acquired the MI side mount as i can't afford a dedicated optic for each carbine.

the MI side rail works as advertised. however, i've found that i'm limited to an RDS rather than a low power variable due to LOP/eye-relief.

that said, i find that even my vortex strikefire in ultra low rings is distractingly high vs the irons - really messes up the cheek weld. an eotech would push that even further up so i don't think that setup would work for me.

so far, my preference is the ultimak. but the MI side mount rail is a nice way to have one optic for multiple carbines until i am able to get a dedicated optic for each.

Yes, I can see how that would be best, just looking for someplace that they are currently available.

I know it's not a side rail system but have you seen sabreworks stuff?

I used a cheap rail (about $30) that has the picatinny rail on top and another on the side. (Don't know what they expected to do with that..) from UTG. (gen V)

It was about 7.5 oz and very sturdy. With a 3x scope It worked fine out to 300 yds. The limiting factor there was the trigger and the ammo, not the scope or the mount. (and of course not me...well maybe a little)

I never played remove/replace check zero etc because there was no reason to take it off. I could remove the rear cover with the scope in place. The sight height from recticle center to bore was about 3.1 inches. Not real bad. The mount worked great, is cheap enough and worth a try IMO.

It simply doesn't get better than the RS mount.

Another vote for the RS. Mounts solidly, allows co-witness, quality kit.

RS without a doubt. Been using them since the beta model was sent to me. Doesn't get any better. Lightweight and great lockup
