What's the best stuff for copper fouling and how often should the barrel be cleaned?

I would not use copper solvent during regular cleaning unless you notice a build-up of copper that is noticeable as you push a regular cleaning patch through the bore. After you've removed the constriction don't use copper solvent until the problem reappears.

That's what I thought

I dunno where my post went, but I don't clean copper until accuracy degrades or in swapping bullet types in guns that I know don't tolerate it.

What type of copper remover is safe for use in chrome lined barrels? Has something to do with ammonia content, doesn't it?

Barrel chrome is hard chrome, it's hard to hurt it. Bumper chrome has a copper base layer that can be ate up with some solvents.
