They both go boom..if you are not out to win a national match or anything, either is fine.

Which ever is cheaper.

I've only run 20 rounds of fiocchi in .223 (69gr smk), but it was very accurate and ran well. I have used a lot of Fiocchi through handguns, and it has always been good for range practice. I have always had good luck with American Eagle as well. I agree with the prior comment, whichever is cheaper.

I've notced that AE typically runs a bit 'hotter' than what the side of the box says, however, it also has hit or miss QC inpections as I've also had a good number of rounds that were bulged, cracked, or bent right out of the box.

I still buy AE as range fodder without hesitation though.

Fiocchi I've noticed tends to runs 'hotter' than what the side of the box says as well, but with fewer problematic rounds.

If I had to choose between the two for some strange reason to have to load and fire blindly, I would go with Fiocchi.
Otherwise either will work.

You may instead want to try Wolff's new "gold" .. real deal brass ammo, boxer primed and less expensive than any of this range junk.
