Fellow Gunners,
I put three regular handguns into a Miami gunsmith shop for simple refinish. No custom work, no fabrication, etc.
That was 15 months ago. The business does not answer it's phone, nor return calls, nor respond to faxes & emails.
In-person meetings are a waste of time, and full of B.S. excuses about the guns being sent away for the refinish work.
Finally, I met with one of the principle owners/gunsmiths, and personally instructed him to immediately return my firearms....still don't have them, nor any word on their status.
Note: If you have had good luck w/ them, and are a fanboy, that's fine. But that is not the case for me, as their business practices are definitely substandard.
Bottom Line: Under no circumstances would I ever use or recommend this gunsmith shop to anyone, business name as follows:
American Western Arms / AWA USA Inc.
2280 West 80th Street, Suite 2
Hialeah, FL 33016
Phone: 305.828.1982
Fax: 305.828.1066
