Looking to get a new laser/light combo for my nightstand handgun.

the new model x300 seems incredibly bright according to specs, compared to 170lumen x300

Does anyone have any real experience with using x300-ULTRA with crimson trace laser grips?

I am curious to see if the light would washout the laser.

I would rather get the original but the ultra's are easier to find and apparently cheaper.

Don't know about the washout issue, but it appears Grant still has the old ones in stock.

I don't know either but I did see the Ultras for $160 shipped on Amazon.

I have an X400 U. It doesn't wash out the laser on that set up. But I don't know comparing it to a Crimson trace.

yeah. i just sprang for it from amazon.

They are both coming in the mail. If it ruins the laser, I will definitely post back about it.

For that price, I had to jump on it. Good find.

Ouch! Paid $165 shipped for a used one. Also paid retail for a P2ZX Fury.

Checked a CT laser (red) and my 680 lumen light doesn't wash it out in a variety of surfaces, including white walls.

I have a TLR 2s. The laser on it is much weaker then the CT lasers and it does not wash out. If you are that close to your target, you can just use the round focus of the lights beam. Just put the center of the beam on target. Not precision, but works.
