My Bulgarian AKK milled build is back from Two Rivers Arms. It took just under three months door to door. Here's a picture of the kit and receiver before I sent them out:

I sent the kit along with the CNC Warrior receiver that was serial numbered to match the kit, a G2 trigger group, a K-Var "Classic" barrel and a US made slant brake.

Here's the AKK look that I wanted to achieve:

And here are the results from Two Rivers Arms:

I know it sounds cliché, but the pictures do not do this rifle justice. They fixed all the kit parts that were scratched and nicked. The bluing is deep and dark. My favorite thing about this rifle is the dichotomy between the old world craftsmanship of the metal preparation/bluing and the bakelite/plastic stock set. The markings they engraved on the receiver and lower handguard look perfect. Note in the last picture how both CNC Warrior and Two Rivers Arms marked the rifle under the trigger guard so that it wouldn't show. If this rifle shoots half as well as it looks, then I'll be very pleased.

There are good gunsmiths out there. However, there are very few truly passionate gunsmiths that also know how to run a business. Two Rivers Arms followed my instructions and got the rifle back to me in three months. Thumbs way up for Two Rivers Arms.

That's a beaut. I have built several hundred production AK pattern rifles, but only a few custom built nice ones, mostly Bulgarian '74s. Yours is a finished product to be proud of.

Very Nice.
Any chance you could post pics of the selector markings and the ((10)) code, was it done with a rotary tool like the originals?
Im looking in to building an underfolder version of it.
Looking that your kit has the painted finish I would guess it is from the mid-late 80's.
Thanks

Thanks for the kind words. I almost can't believe I finally have this rifle.

Sure, but I won't be able to for a couple of days. I'll post them as soon as I can.

There was no way to know for sure as the date code on the receiver was obviously missing. I could definitely tell that the rifle had been rearsenaled at least once. I decided to go with the blued finish because I was told some were made that way to begin with and they were later painted when the were rearsenaled. Who knows for sure?

No rush on the pics, I just want to see how they turned out.
The Bulgarians started painting their AK's in mid-late 80's. Because a rifle has a painted finish it does not necessarily mean it was re-arsenaled. The later production ones have the serial number of the dust cover engraved on the left side up front by the receiver, late 80's/early 90's production. The earlier 80's production ones were indeed blued so you rifle would be a perfect clone of a early/mid 80's production. I think this batch of kits came from the Balkan wars but Im not 100% sure.

If you need any specific pics let me know, I have a demilled early 80's Bulgarian kit (from the golden days of AK kits). The same rifle that you built up from the kit. It does not have the selector markings as they go chopped up. Also if you are looking for a specific era of a Bulgarian AK pic let me know.

Let us know how it shoots.

That's an excellent looking rifle. Very nice. Let us know how it goes once you hit the range with it!

I know the rifle is correct but something inside me desperately wants to instal Type 3 wooden stocks and a muzzle nut on it.

Ask and you shall receive. Sorry about the glare, but using the flash was the only way I could get the markings to show.

Thanks for the pics Bret, I appreciate it. They did a nice job on the markings.
Give us a range report when you shoot it. Im thinking of having a
Bulgarian under-folder built on a CNC Warrior receiver.
