View Full Version : Magpul 2014 Calendar
So I just opened it to January and a couple things stood out:

Windowed 308 Pmag
308 ACR/Massoud
Backwards CompM4
Interesting barrel... CF? Or trick of the lighting maybe.
Also apparently there's a model in there somewhere.

Ah yes the Masada Disaster, a Modern Tragedy...
I didn't even notice the backwards Aimpoint when I opened mine up. Interesting....

Is that a 25 rounder? Looks a tad long to be a 20 round mag.

No doubt...maybe not seated

I think it is fully seated, note the window. If the mag was inserted any further into the mag well the window would partically be obscured.

No, but I've only seen the Magpul "schematic" drawing not an actual pic. I also did not realize that they had a window 7.62 in the works.

Yeah, I think they were supposed to be out this past fall but had been delayed. I've been patiently awaiting their arrival.

I don't know why everyone thinks they were supposed to be out of CO already when they have clearly stated numerous times that they were moving magazine production out-of-state (already done) and they were going to help to fight the current laws (joined the Sheriff's lawsuit) and also help to turn the tide for mid-terms.

Could the backwards Aimpoint be a spoof on the HK backwards round in the magazine of years gone by?

I'm sure it's by design...unlike this one

Don't assume that every employee at General Motors is a "car guy". Likewise, it's possible that not every employee at HK or Magpul may be a "gun guy". Marketing employees are looking at lighting, shadowing, colors, layouts, fonts, etc, among other things. They may not necessarily be gun people. Some companies also farm out to outside agencies to do their marketing. It's not outside the realm of possibility that it's just a plain old fashioned **** up. What's obvious to members of a gun forum, may not be obvious to everyone else.
Not saying this is the case here but it could be.

I just don't get why they want to remind everyone of the Masada fiasco.
