Got a well-used Glock 29 to work on. This one got a 360-degree reduction and rubberized coating (natural textured, not stippled). Also added Tru-Glo TFOs, Lasermax, and 3.5# connector.

How long have you been doing Glock work? I should be getting my G19 back from having a reduction, chop and full stipple...can't wait to shoot her

Nice work!

Can you vouch for the Lasermax or is that what the customer requested?

Thanks

Thanks folks. I've been doing this about 1.5 years, but only in the state of FL because I wasn't an FFL. In March of this year I partnered with a local FFL/SOT, and I now accept work nationwide.

The customer requested the laser. I did two other Glocks for him as well, all with Tru Glo TFOs and Lasermax units.

I personally am not a fan of lasers because it takes me longer to get the dot where it needs to be then it does to simply lay the front sight over the target. The dot is not an extension of your body like the front sight is: the front sight responds in conjunction with your hand, the laser dot is also synced, but the further away the target is you're painting, the more variation in movement response.

Lasers have their uses (designating a target for someone else; engaging a threat without exposing yourself to fire by putting your face behind the sights; making your cat dizzy), but I personally don't use them.

The Lasermax is a sturdy unit, but when I test fired this gun, I found that I'd accidentally engage or disengage the laser with my support hand thumb. Also, the unit can move around ever so slightly inside the frame, which might complicate field stripping.

what did you use for the grip texture?
