View Full Version : Ejector retaining pin loose
Hey guys, I have an Adams Arms piston system bolt that keeps losing ejectors because the retaining pin keeps working its way out. The hole seems oversized for the normal .062 pins. The next size up seems way too big. I've emailed Adams about it but haven't heard back. I've taken it to many shops in Orlando and nobody can help. Anyone have any ideas?

Wait till they respond about their more than likely out of spec bolt. Best case scenario they replace it on their dime. Worst case, they leave you hanging and you have to replace it yourself.
I believe the roll pin for a standard bolt ejector is 1/16. Sounds like your hole is too large. When did you email them? Have you attempted to call them?
I emailed them Wednesday, will call Monday for details.

I'm sorry I just can't let that one go without a ;)
Damn. It didn't even occur to me until you mentioned it.

I just received an email today from Adams - said that they're supposed to be mil spec and that they're going to send me a new one. Sounds great to me!
In this case I define it as having standard dimensions and measurements for fitment into a standard carrier, and fitting standard roll pins.

They shipped me a new bolt. All is good now.
