I'm looking for a 30mm scope mount for an AR10 precision build, and I want the most stable, secure base I can get. Quick-detach is not required. What is out there that fits this description?

Spuhr ISMS.

The Aadland Engineering mount was built for exactly what you describe and its almost half the price of the Spuhr.

I like the Aadmount, the only problem is that it's 30mm 20MOA and that's it. If that's exactly what you're looking for, it's definitely the better choice. It's an excellent scope mount.

Check out GDI, they are expensive, but make solid mounts!

Those all look good, but expensive! The Aadmount looks to be within my budget though.

just saw these in a gun mag. looks interesting, the Warne tactical line of scope rings are very HD
and priced right. http://warnescopemounts.com/product/r-a-m-p-mount/

My only scope mount experience is with Larue and ADM.
How do you guys rate those with the non-QD mounts mentioned in this thread as far as durability, etc.?

Honestly, its probably a bit of a wash when used on a 5.56 rifle, and probably 7.62 as well. They are all well made. IMO the advantage to the non-qd options is in the vastly increased mating surface. Switching from QD levers to a non-qd torque method is probably better for repeatability as well, so long as you pay attention to position and use a good repeatable torque wrench.

ADM delta mounts are recommended (over LaRue or any other brand) for SCAR 17s/H, considering the rep that gun has for "eating" optics it's probably a good indication the ADM delta mounts are "beefy."

Spuhr, GDI, ADM

IMHO Spuhr is the most robust out there and pretty high $$$. KAC's bolt-on mount will get the job done for less $. As far as QD, Bobro is the best for fit and repeatability in my experience. Good luck with your build(s).

Let's go shooting,
