Wow.... Completely ridiculous and my wife would just love that dragon head. I would drill nostrils in it. Mate this up to a blaster grade bbl and shoot steel until it self-destructs adding another layer of awesome on range day. Clearly not for serious work but looks fun.

I think that nose art dates back to at least the P-40 Warhawk (early WWII fighter). Maybe even earlier for all I know.

Looks like fun but I would think they would end up being heavier which would make the end of the barrel a drag and harder to shoot. But when it comes down to it. they are not reliable. per the descript in their sale

There's a guy that I run into occasionally at my local range. He is definitely 'that guy'. I promise you he will have one of these next time I see him. I will be told about how well it works on his ak (that has everything that is $20 or less from cheaper than dirt hanging off of it) without asking or even making eye contact with him.

I'm really disappointed that there is not a picture of that hideous, huge thing actually hanging off of a rifle. On the other hand, that lamp is sweet. Get one of those for one side of the couch and a Christmas Story leg lamp for the other and you're set.

I read this post and was really, REALLY hoping it was going to be a little rail that you mount at the muzzle, so you can subject your Aimpoint-micro-knockoff to the blast from your massive 3-port brake and see which one wins. (I have a guess.) Sadly, can't see as much benefit for the thing it actually is, although I suppose it would go well with Mossberg's chainsaw grip, and maybe a garden-spade buttstock.

As ridiculous and stupid looking as these things are, aesthetic only things like these DO help guns and firearms become a little more approachable to the average "non-gun" person and the more "mainstream" gun ownership becomes and the more people interested in owing guns COULD help in the fight to retain our constitutionally protected rights.

Now the argument can be made that things like these attract the wrong kind of people, but that's a different argument entirely IMO.
