A couple of days ago I picked up two 30-round Colt mags from my FFL. I took them home and compared them with two I had obtained from the same gunshop earlier in the year. Those mags are marked "Colt's Mfg" on the parked floorplate and on the body along with a five-digit number and a manufacturing date. The new ones are marked "Colt's Firearms Division Colt Industries" on the blued floorplate. The body is not marked at all and is distinctly rougher looking where the two halves join in that they are wavy between the spot welds and not smoothly finished like the earlier pair. The follower is a different, brighter color green. Is this typical of the new ones and not to worry that they are really fugly or do I take them back and try again?
