A friend of mine pulled this off of some Facebook group and sent it to me.

Recognize this kid? Don't worry, you'll remember his name from now on. Aitazaz Hassan Bangash was 15 years old when he died. Friends & family describe him as a chubby kid teased for being overweight and a top performing student; with a life goal of becoming a doctor and serving his country. On Monday January 6th 2014, Aitazaz was walking to his Pakistani school where students were gathering for a morning assembly. A young man in an ill fitting school uniform stopped him to ask "where is the school?" Aitazaz and others around him then realized that the man was wearing an explosive suicide vest. When everyone else turned and fled; Aitazaz didn't. When the time came to nut up or shut up, he stepped forward and challenged that mother****er. Witnesses said Aitazaz attempt to bash in the suicide bomber's head with a large rock before tackling the man near the front gates of the school. As Aitazaz fought the man with his bare hands, the bomb detonated. It's is reported that somewhere close to 2,000 students were in the school when the bomb exploded outside. The only two people that died that morning were Aitazaz and the bomber. The fat nerdy kid was the ONE person that decided to take a stand and get shit done. No bullshit tough talk, no thought of himself or his safety, no hesitation, he just did what needed to be done. If that story doesn't motivate the **** out of you, I don't know what will. #igmilitia #aitazaz #getshitdone #realitycheck #BAMF

I did find some news articles but I liked the wording of what my friend sent me :)

There are more than these but some link to CNN sites and I don't want to send anyone to that wasteland of journalism.

That kid is more of a hero than any damn singer, movie star, or athlete ever could be !! I would be incredibly proud if my son had the stones to go up against a suicide bomber at his school, thankfully that is not likely to happen over here.

All it takes is one person to have the stones to do something. Props to the little fellow RIP.

I truly wonder if you will even see this on AJZ.

Rest in peace brave young man.

His sacrifice will likely be ignored because he's Pakistani TBH.

None can choose what life he's born into, but some will still choose to do what's right.

RIP kid.

This. Stood up when it counted and saved lives with his own. That's what I usually call a hero.

RIP...

The term hero may be the most over used and abused term in the English language, but it does apply in spades to this kid. RIP.
