Anyone ever seen one up close, or handled one? I just ran across this one the net. Take a look at the downloadable spec sheet file.
They mention a billet lower. Extruded upper. (isn't that different from a regular forged upper?) I could be wrong about that.
Anyhow, is this rifle using DPMS uppers/lowers?
What do you guys think? I think there is better out there, but it's interesting nonetheless.

I'm not sure I have ever seen the back up sights before (Mangonel)....kinda funky looking. The spec sheet has the VLTOR stock while the web page has the LMT/Crane.

All things considered, I like what they've done with it...pretty cool but I'm not seeing a whole lot the average Joe couldn't muster with a little imagination and an standard AR10. Personally, I'd rather pass on the mystery "Panther" stuff and just build it up myself.....quality of parts seems to be a potential issue here.

Those "Mangonel" sights are made by DPMS. The specs for the rifle are pretty much cut and paste from the DPMS website, and it appears to be a slightly tweaked version of their LRT-SASS.

That's all I have to contribute.

That is a DPMS. Seems they are whoring this rifle out to everyone. The big plus on using a DPMS as a base gun to build off of is that

1. It uses KAC MK11 Mags
2. Forward assist

The bad things about it
1. The DPMS gun uses a shorter gas tube that means crap starts moving REAL quick (Sometimes before the bullet has cleared the gun)

The DPMS/Remington SASS submittal we tested did not fare well with out the can.

Thats why we "Frankenstien'd" the one I posted here (actually we have 6 now)

Guys, I've never had the least bit of interest in owning this DPMS based gun.
Just thought I'd post it, as most haven't seen it before. It's nothing super special, we all can see that. Just nice to know what all is out there.
GAP AR10 is currently in the works. Not sure how long it will take me to get it underway, but I have made the decision to have a GAP AR10 built for sure.
