View Full Version : Natchez has AR Comp
They just got some. I hear it's damn near equal to R15.
Thanks for the heads up. I just got some of this to try. I have been using Varget and have been extremely happy with it in .223.
Isn't that the temp stabile version of R15? And why Varget in .223? So many equal or better performers that meter a lot nicer.

That's what I hear.
I used Varget because it was all that I could find last year and I had to go to Tennessee to buy it. I bought two pounds of it but have since found some IMR 4064 and will be getting the AR Comp powder. You are right about Varget not metering well. I use a Hornady electronic scale/powder measure and I program it for 24.6 grains of Varget and three out of fives time it throws a 25 grain charge.

You can adjust the speed & the "mode" to throw a perfect charge every time. Well, about 99% of the time.
