It seemed like more than a few people didn't like the JM-1 reticle. What are your thoughts on the two new ones?

I just want a dot with knobs, maybe a mil dot, so i don't like them!

So the MRAD model has 5 hashes of windage each side, 7 hashes of elevation down, and the thicker post is 11 mils down? WTF? Why not just do 5 all around, with the thicker post 10 down, or something else easy to remember.

Would be happy with a mil based reticle, this one looks silly though.

I have a 1-6x with the JM-1 reticle. For most likely users with a .308 or 5.56 carbine, it's fine. The knobs work (and are resettable to zero) for anyone who prefers to dial their windage and elevation.

Do you prefer moa or mrad?

MOA for me.
Doesn't matter to me as long as I remember to change on my calculator.

One m.o.a. at 100 yards = 1.047 and change inches.
One MIL at 100 yards = .10 yard or 3.6 inches.

The MOA proponents say it's more accurate using 1/4 MOA than .1 MRAD as its a smaller increment.
The MRAD proponents say it's quicker to calculate in MILS compared to MOA or Shooter MOA.

the other I had posted was just to long to express

6 of one, half dozen of another. Whatever you are used to and works. I like the new mil reticle and the new long range Razor scopes they have, just wish they weren't so dang heavy.

If possible could you pm me the original post, something you stated on using mil clicked in my brain and made all the sense in my world (it's the size of a marble according to some) on the simplicity of mil.

Here's a good explanation of moa and mrad. There's 3 parts.

This X a Gigaparsec. Simply not worth a pissing match over this shit at all.
Train & shoot were' all going to need the practice.

Better. Exposed knobs and a diet would serve the Razor well.
