Elcan Specter 1-4

So I come to what I consider the experts, I wanna buy myself a Elcan 1-4x as a deployment present in the next month. Problem is I don't know what's a good deal or isn't. Can somebody educate me on the different gens and maybe steer me to a decent used one? Thanks for your time.

Not to derail.... But I would think long and hard before I bought ANY Elcan.... There are too many superior products for the same or less money on the market.

They have a long line of issues, that still have not been completley resolved.....Do some research and you will understand.

I spent 15 months on a COP with an ODA team. They all had Elcan's... In their Tack Boxes. I don't have any experience with them, but they are considered to be not only inferior, but over-engineered, over-priced, heavy, and not fast. I'd go with just about anything else- shit for a pre-deployment present buy yourself a vacation!
