What small arms would be used, instead of the ones used in the original 1987 version? Probably M4's and a SAW, and Glock or S&W pistols? Not sure the Minigun would be practical, although it makes for a REALLY dramatic effect :D

Probably a bunch of G36c's, MP5's, Vektor's, and FN 5-7's.

http://www.imfdb.org/wiki/PredatorThe mini gun part was the best part!! They would have to throw in one somehow. On a side note a little part of me died when I found out that you can't sport a mini like a single handed boss.

You both forget the hot chicks. It's a Michael Bay staple.

M60 with a backpack of ammo instead of M134.

The minigun is my favorite. Something about it just touches my soul. The new predator would not have the POS Ahnuld in it. The guy turns my stomach.

When I was 7 years old my dad actually let me rent it, not knowing what it was. While my parents slept, I was introduced to the mini-gun, and was forever spoiled on firepower.

An M134 with green laser, or an M242 Bushmaster with thermal sights. Either scenario is equally plausible:

I don' care what guns they use, just so they don't shoot them from the hip. Makes the movie virtually unwatchable.

You take back those remarks this instant.

I'd imagine a remake would have the team be less bulky and more combat-fit. Less like Expendables and more like Lone Survivor.

I'd imagine a lot of 416s, maybe SCAR-Hs, and maybe a Mk48 or LSAT for the Blain replacement.

C'mon man, you can't shoulder fire Ole Painless.

And nobody they can get in Hollywood can ever top Ventura's quote of "I ain't got time to bleed" or "this stuff will make you a sexual tyrannosaurus!"

In 2010 Predators the Russian Alpha guy had a mini-gun, the PMC played by Adrian Brody had a AA-12, Danny Trejo (aka Machete) had a matching pair of MP5Ks, and whole host of other weapons by the rest of the cast.

I'm not talking about the mini. I'm talking about MP5A3s with the stocks not deployed fired MAC 10 style and M-16A2 / M203s fired from the hip. I don't think a single person shouldered and sighted a single weapon in the entire movie.

I had forgotten about that one. Interesting plot line even if it was somewhat stolen from The Cube (1997). Sadly it wasn't developed into a film very well and was about on par with Predator 2 and Aliens Vs. Predator.

A Predator remake would look a lot like a Red Dawn remake..... :(

THAT'S what the world needs! A good shoulder-fire mini-gun! :dance3:

Kind of hard to show off bulging biceps without hip firing.

Either way it'll suck. I could barely get through Total Recall or Red Dawn. They need to quit remaking awesome movies.

The main actor was so terrible it actually forced me to turn the damn thing off.

Again, I was referring to everything BUT the mini.

And it would be perfectly fine if they didn't.
