Help: what am I looking for?

So I basically want a gun that could be used for Varminting out to 300+ yards, but still have iron sights for closer range use. Is there one that fits my criteria? I really like the Bushmaster Varmint but the barrel is over 20 inches long and has no iron sights. What would be a good rifle for what I described, is what im looking for non-existent?

Another option is a rear BUIS on the upper rail and a Gas Block height Front BUIS. Then you have folded sights for your scope work and deployable irons should you want them.

That would work but I would make sure to either get a fully adjustable BUIS (which most are windage adjustable only), this will make you much happier if you shoot the iron sights a lot and at different distances.
