My wife loves to shoot my SAR-2 AK a lot more then I would have thought. So I was a little surprised that she asked for a AK74 for our wedding anniversary this month. I asked how much was she wanting to spend and she said no more than 750. She wants to keep it the classic look with only a different pistol grip. I wanted to order her a Arsenal, but she said no. She did her own research and found a Waffen Werks with B grade stocks for 600. Now I am not a huge fan of them mainly from all the mixed reviews of their quality lacking for some buyers. The price is not bad for her first AK, and we plan on refinishing the furniture when it comes in. The total cost with shipping and my dealers FFL fee was $667.74. I will post photos when it comes in as well as any problems that I hopefully don't find. http://www.classicfirearms.com/long-guns/ak74riflewuspartsw1magonlycodeb

Will do, Classic firearms is not open over the weekend. I am hoping it ships Monday since they already have my FFL in their system.

I've considered a WW 74 several times but always passed. Let us know how it works out.

Well I picked it up today. All looks straight at first look and I will know more when we head to the range. The furniture is indeed grade B and is mismatching and will be refinished or replaced. The finish looks clean, well done and uniformly applied. There is a little mag wiggle with the Tapco mags, but it is tighter with the surplus mags.
