For Sale - Custom Caspian Recon 9mm 1911
This is a carbon steel 9mm in a Full Size Recon configuration. The gun features the following:
IonBond Diamond Coating (Flat Black)
Caspian Carbon Steel Recon Frame
20 Lines Per inch Checkering on front strap of frame
Flat Mainspring Housing/20 Lines Per Inch Checkering (Lanyard Loop
Wilson Combat Beaver Tail Grip Safety (Gunsmith fit)
EGW Extended Ejector (tuned for optimum ejection)
Wilson Combat 9mm Bullet Proof Slide Stop
Standard Size Thumb Safety
Harrison Design Short Trigger
Evolution Gun Works Trigger Job(approx 3.5 pound trigger)
Caspian Carbon Steel Government Length Slide with forward vertical serrations
Dawson Precision Fiber Optic Front Sight (.215 Tall X .125 Wide)
Novak Rear Sight (Wide Notch / .145 Notch)
Barsto Precision 9mm Gunsmith Fit Barrel Wilson/Nowlin Ramp (Fit by Barsto))
Caspian Extractor (tuned for optimum extraction)
VZ Grip -Aliens G-10, Slim, Earth Brown, Tapered Bottom
13- Springfield/Metalform Ramped 9mm Magazines (11with magazine base installed). The magazines have been tuned for the gun (optimum feeding/drop free etc)(9 round capacity).
3 - Brand New Dawson Precision 10 Round Magazines with Tactical Base pads
1- Extra Night Hawk Custom One Piece Steel Mag chute/ Main Spring Housing/20 Lines Per Inch Checkering (integral lanyard loop).
The gun was built ( including the slide fitting) by Evolution Gun Works (when they used to build guns); while the fitting of the barrel was done by Irv Barsto (Barsto Precision).
Some very minor finish wear on the gun.
The gun runs flawlessly; is very accurate and averages 1.75 for 5 round groups out of my Ransom Rest. (124 Grain +p Gold Dot @ 25 yards)
