Though this pic doesn't do true justice - it's all I can do at the moment.
Just rec'd my S&W model 22-4 back from Coal Creek where it was melonite finished. Again - in person, it looks great. Very much like a very dark, matte parkerized finish. Though it took longer than I expected (what doesn't?:) - it was worth the wait.
On the downside - damn their lawyers!!!!!!!! They removed the "plug"
I had installed to replace the Internal Lock, and replaced it with factory IL parts. Yes - they finished the plug - so I can re-install it. But damn it - that's just another PITA for me to have to deal with. I'm sure they don't re-install factory parts when someone ships in a M&P with Apex parts installed - or do they.
All told - I'm happy, and I would recommend them. - john
PS - Forgot to send along the lanyard. Anyone know of anything that will blacken stainless?
