THOUGHT POLICE: FIRMS MUST SWEAR OBAMACARE NOT A FACTOR IN FIRINGS
Is the latest delay of ObamaCare regulations politically motivated? Consider what administration officials announcing the new exemption for medium-sized employers had to say about firms that might fire workers to get under the threshold and avoid hugely expensive new requirements of the law. Obama officials made clear in a press briefing that firms would not be allowed to lay off workers to get into the preferred class of those businesses with 50 to 99 employees. How will the feds know what employers were thinking when hiring and firing? Simple. Firms will be required to certify to the IRS – under penalty of perjury – that ObamaCare was not a motivating factor in their staffing decisions. To avoid ObamaCare costs you must swear that you are not trying to avoid ObamaCare costs. You can duck the law, but only if you promise not to say so.

I honestly cannot believe anyone in their right mind would ever vote for a democrat again(not that it matters anymore), they are crossing over into full on "Stalinism!"

Orwell was 30 years premature in his book's title, but we have finally arrived.

Dictatorship always comes from the left, and it is always done with the best intentions. This administration is really flirting with Fascism, that is, centralized totalitarian socialism, and statist control, coupled with crony capitalism, and actively seeking to crush their political adversaries. I'm an immigrant here from ex communist Romania and I am very concerned with the turn that this country has taken, and seemingly quite well supported by an ever expanding loafer unproductive social class that is all too happy to vote for any potential despot as long as he/she's promising freebies. What's most frustrating is the ignorance and naiveté of people in the U.S. It is as if they are sleep walkers that don't know any history whatsoever. The Soviets used to call them useful idiots...

There are plenty of us who don't think that way, realize the gift we have as a nation, and despise what's happening, so don't paint with a broad brush. Unfortunately that us is a little under 50% these days....close enough that they can't run roughshod over us, but can squeek out electoral victories by a few percentage points.

You are right I see that my comment sounds like I am indicting all Americans. I apologize, and I want to add that I consider myself an American first and God bless the well informed American patriots such as yourself. It is almost diabolical though how the Socialist Democrats have mobilized key demographics to such an extent that they can get a majority even after running the country into the ground for 4 years. This period of time is crucial as the tipping point will occur where enough of a Nany State dependent underclass is created that socialist statists willing to siphon prosperity from the productive to the unproductive class will be assured consistent political victory. It's called buying votes. Lastly, if amnesty is given to the illegals the voting demographic will be locked in for the Socialists for the foreseeable future. And slowly this country will descend into the well historically documented socialist nightmare where the prosperous will be torn down so that everyone will be equal, equally miserable, and afraid of their own government to speak out, lest you get audited by the State. Oh wait that last part is already happening...

As an employer with 52 employees...is there a block to check for "FU*K OFF"?

The intent here is so that the administration can later say, when people shed employees to get under the limit "But it WASN'T because of Obamacare! See, they SIGNED that it wasn't!"...

For the first time in 52 years of business, we are only hiring part-time workers in the future in order for attrition to get under that limit, because we simply will not be able to afford it. Talk about a law having a HUGE effect on limiting small business growth....

Welcome to the party my man. You and I come from the same background, see the same trends and are told we are paranoid.

Lots of good decent people around the country, but we are thinning out the numbers exponentially. I have serious concerns for my kids. I've lived in shitville and can do it again if need be, but I had better things in mind for my kid.

Unfortunately my friends, the class that most needs to hear from you, the 18-34 year old block, is the class of American that has most thoroughly inculcated the Marxist paradigm, their entire public school experience having been spoon fed to them via committed Marxist/Leninist educators(an oxy-moron), most likely they would simply mock you and your experience! In this nation you can tell the privately schooled kids from the publically schooled kids with painful swiftness....

Unfortunately you are spot on.

Oh, and a belated and hearty "Welcome to America!" :D (or is it Amerika?)

Yup. The very same demographic that looks at me like I have a third eye or something when I talk of my experiences and parallels. My situation puts me in an ever gloomier state of mind as I'm an engineer and spend my time around folks with good educational and experience backgrounds.

I'm one in that 18-34 something that knew was being forced in my mouth, and turned and spat it out when the teacher went to the next victim. Most of my friends in my age group (30) know the problems and are also scared. Your broad brush is too broad.
