GRAP (Guard Recruiting Assistance Program) provided a good incentive, especially since I enlisted after they stopped giving bonuses. I got one friend in with it, but they shut down the program as it was being processed. We were told that we would still get the money since it was already entered, but of course neither of us ever saw it.

I always thought it was rife with opportunity to abuse it. It's why I never touched it.
