Hey Guys,

Anyone have a video of how they set up there rifle to remove the front sling swivel. I tried reading the older posts, gave it a decent whack with a 1/16th punch, but no bueno Don't want to bend the barrel or cant the FSB with too many whacks.

any help is appreciated.

Use a drill bit slightly smaller than the pin and go slow, it'll pop the mushroomed end off without a scratch, if you're careful.

I used an 1/8" drill bit and then then used an punch to tap the pin out.

That'll work.. A dremel works as well..

Yep, drill it and punch it out.

If you use a 1/16 punch you will succeed in damaging the punch only. You want to use 3/32 (IIRC) and then simply place it in the hole and hit it hard. The aluminum rivet will pop right through.
