View Full Version : 300m with a glock? Jerry does 400m with an M&P!

This guy is always full of surprises! I live watching him shoot! He truly loves what he does.
Great shooting!
I would guess the dispersion of the gun+ammo at this range (from a machine rest) should be in the order of 36"+ for a 10 shot group, covering a much larger area (235% if it was a round group) than the 18"x24" target. So in addition to the supreme skills of JM there was also a lot of luck involved.

Long range handgun shooting is incredibly fun and satisfying (also pretty tough)
I get a pretty big grin on my face when I can get fairly consistent hits to 150m or 200m
Have thought about trying 300m-500m but haven't done it- next time at the range I think I am going to go for it after seeing this video. Problem is that iron sights will make this a little tough at those ranges.

hickok45 had his G26 at 250 or 275 (can't recall which one), he will be back to best Jerry.
OUT
EDIT: forgot - great friggin shot and love all that ammo stacked on his shelves.
You have to admit, he's pretty good with a gun!

Jerry or Hickok45?
I've seen that video before. Very impressive if you ask me. The farthest I've ever been able to successfully shoot a good group was at 75 yard with a 1911. I tried 100 but only managed to get 2 of 5 shots on a 10" target

How is that even possible? I can't even see a target that sized at that distance and I'm probably 20 years or so his junior. He's not human.

That's exactly what I say. 100 yards seems far away with a rifle.

Its probably the red dot. Funker tactical did it with open sights at 300, but amazing either way.
Good shooting. Another challenge to meet.

Because ar red dot suddenly makes you see out to like 400 meters...
Red dot also adds heat seeking capability.
It's a mix of eyesight, skill, and steady hands. This guy also puts more down range in 60 min of range time than most do in a month. Experience at it's best. I can assure you, he is capable at insane stuff with Irons as well.
In his glock 41 video, he nailed a steel plate with irons at a little over 200m as well.

It's an M&P..so I wonder what the group size is at 400m LOL.

You could put a Schmidt & Bender 5 to25x56 on it and I couldn't make that shot.

Jerry or Hickok45?
Both those fellas impress the hell out of me. I'd be tickled shitless if I could shoot half, hell, a quarter, as well as either of 'em.
I once hit a 9" pie plate at 200yds with S&W mod 36. Only took 75% of a box of ammo to get my 1 hit.
I wish Jerry would go back to his "home planet", cause he ain't human!

Banzai!! I love watching Jerry shoot matches and especially his fun gunning like this. Always a smile on his face and always having a good time. He shoots IDPA matches at my range occasionally and I just would love to shake his hand some time
