Im looking for a weapon mounted light for my g19/23 for CCW I carry appendix. Ive narrowed it down to the TLR-1 from Streamlight or and APL from Inforce. no Surefire for me out of my budget. Now down to it I know the TLR-1 is a great light, works well has a good reputation. But the Inforce Ive heard bad about falling off during momentary function anyone have this problem or does anyone know if its been fixed? Whats the best holster options for appendix with a light? Also is the length of the TLR-1 to long for appendix in your opinion?
Thanks
Corey

I've got both and the Inforce APL is smaller and narrower. If you're going to AIWB a light-mounted pistol, I think you'll be happier with the Inforce APL.

My APL has never fallen off.

I have 2 of the TLR-1 HL's, both work perfectly. Extremely bright.

On the glock 19, it's your call if it would be too long.

When I CCW AIWB it is in a Raven VG2. Don't care for WML in this carry mode, prefer hand held light. Depends on your training, clothing and body type, I wear my normal size Levis and prefer not to have more on the pistol especially when sitting or driving.

I carried a tlr1s for a while on duty.

Good light, batteries are an issue but you can get rechargeables.

I did a review

I have a TLR-2 on the Sig 226 @ bedside. The M&P 9 PRO has the TLR-1 mounted on it and I have a proper holster for this combo. The 4.25 M&P does not have a holster to fit gun & light yet. May not worry about one for it.

The tlr 1 is bad ass but i think its going to be too big too aiwb.

anyone heard if Inforce has fixed the problem with the APL flying off using the momentary function?

I've been carrying a G19 with the APL AIWB almost daily. Works well. It's a nice little light.

That being said, I don't think wmls on a CCW gun are necessary.

I recently asked the same thing. Check this thread out.

For AIWB carry you may want to look at the Crimson Trace Lightguard. Much more compact than either of the others. Not sure what kind of reviews it has gotten. Worth looking into if you want to CCW with a WML.

I really want to like the inforce but the attachment of it is what is pushing me away. I would love to buy both of them but not in the budget

I just picked up the APL for this purpose.. I sold my TLR1 to buy one. The APL is brighter, shorter, slimmer and the controls are much more user friendly in my personal opinion. My holster is on order but I think it will be the perfect light for AIWB. My APL came in the mail yesterday have not got to shoot it yet. Taking it out tomorrow to do some shooting will report back with how it stays on.

I have both and prefer APL. The size is just perfect.
