Hey Guy's, Has Anybody here Pinned a Flash Hider to a Barrel to
make it legal. If So How ? Thanks...:D

I have a Vortex that has 2 holes drilled in it for 1/8" pins. Thread onto barrel, drill into the threads just a little, drive pins in, then weld over.

It is for sale btw, my Colt 14.5" barrel came with a phantom already done this way.

Just asking so don't flame me, But Can you use JB Weld to close the hole up :confused:

No, ATF says 1100 (?) degree silver solder or welding it as the only option. But a mig weld over the pin does not get the FH or barrel too hot if that's your concern.

Hey Guy's, Just want to ask a question. Do you have to have a washer(Steel,Crush) when Pinning on a Flash Hider ? If it lines up without one is that ok ? Does it Matter :confused:

No you don't need one.
