A buddy of mine picked up one of these the other day and needs a little advice. He recently bought a Precision Armament M41 muzzle brake and shot the rifle, he wasnt very happy with it to say the least! Anyone using this rifle with a brake they would like to recommend?

He is also looking for a stock that will compliment a magazine. Just thought we'd try and see if any of you guys have any good options. TIA

Grunt Out!

I have it in the .308 with the acc standard muzzle brake and it tamed it quite a bit.

What the shit kind of pigs are you guys growing over there? .338? Damn!

Other than that I have nothing productive to offer.

My thoughts exactly.

My exact thoughts as well, but maybe he just wants to be prepared for literally any hunt offered him here. I've seen hogs brought in that need 4-5 guys on pulley ropes many times over.
500+ lb hogs are wise elders, and if you hunt them putting yourself on level footing so to speak, you may only get one shot, a real long one, and the amount of armor-grizzle is something the first time you're shown. This fellah may be fortunate enough to literally be in hog heaven-and damn right well need the Lapua. Envy him.

I use a .338 for big game, not hogs. If the recoil is the issue, as it was with mine, I installed a Dead Mule Recoil Reducer. Big difference in recoil, for sure it worked for me.
