Hello,
I have for sale a Clone MP5 Upper. I purchased this last year for $897.53 (including shipping charges and processing fees) from Black-Market-Parts.com. After 2 trips back to the factory (once for paddle mag fix and again for out of spec 3-lugs), I am confident that things are all squared away and finally feel comfortable selling this.
It would make an excellent host for those of you with a registered sear or could be used for a pistol or SBR build. If you permanently attached a sufficiently long muzzle device, I suppose you could also make a rifle.
It would require a bolt carrier group, trigger pack, and buttstock or endcap to complete the build.
Using my registered trigger pack, I have:
1) assembled the upper using a professionally clipped lower and factory stock. The stock pin required some force to insert on all the uppers, but things all went together. I suspect that the tight fit will loosen some with use.
2) ensured good bolt gap (0.45-0.48 mm on all 4) using a used German BCG and new rollers and recoil rod assembly (from HKparts.net).
3) ensured that the upper would accept a factory HK MP5 flash hider and that the magwell fit factory mags without problems.
4) test fired 60 rounds on semi and full auto through each upper without problems.
This will ship to your FFL with an excellent condition professionally clipped lower trigger group housing and selector switch.
I'd like $1025 + $20 shipping to your FFL. Add $12.50 for insurance if you'd like that.
