View Full Version : Battery assist device
I'm looking for a battery assist device, now here is my issue. I have an S&W M&P15 the mid-length with the Magpul lower, because of the dimensions the Magpul B.A.D lever wont't work is there one that will clear the lower. I ask here because I'm sure someone here has had to have experienced this too.
Dunno if will work, but Troy has similar device.

I thought the magpul lower was just a standard Milspec lower with a different roll mark. Post a pic, whats dimensionally different. Maybe you could heat up the BAD lever and bend it to clear.
I will have to post one, it has like a almost frame around the bolt catch

Seems rather ironic doesn't it that the Magpul lower does not fit the BAD lever. Not sure if any other traditional type levers would clear either.
Isn't it though? I need to find a pic of the lower.

Wrong lower.
Check out the Tactical Link. It clears my standard M&P15. Looks like it might clear yours too.

Does it have to touch your lower in the corner to actually lock the bolt back?

I run the tactical link on my M&P15 sport and sometimes it prevents the bolt from catching.

No, it doesn't touch anywhere. Judging by the pic posted earlier, it looks like it might be borderline in regards to clearance. Here's a pic with it depressed:

He might be able to bend it so it clears, I vaguely remember someone doing that before.

Look at the picture. It'l never work. It doesn't resemble a mil spec lower at all. http://www.google.com/imgres?imgrefurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.weaponevolution.com%2Fforum%2Fshowthread.php%3F3610-2012-S-amp-W-M-amp-P-Magpul-Mid-length&tbnid=b5ot7gqKrpDnbM:&docid=bMpYhJvary4BuM&h=682&w=1023 If the OP has a Magpul lower. GH
Not 100% positive but a Phase 5 EBR might work. I have two of them barely used (with the old logo) and I'd be willing sell you one if you need one. Shoot me a PM if so. Hopefully this helps.
I need to look more to see if anyone else has had this issue and see how they fixed it.

Is the magpul lower a billet lower? If yes, then the Magpul bad lever and Tactical link EBAL will not work on it. The only thing might work would be the Phase 5 EBRv2.
