While I agree that there are many agents on the far left that are tyrannical kooks and this woman's actions were absolutely crazy...there are types this crazy on the far right as well.
Many Bible thumpers would love to limit what we all see, hear and view. Banning all sorts of music, movies and art gallery displays...all in the name of "knowing what is really good for you.
They also gave us prohibition, blue laws and other nonsense like not being able to sell liquor until noon on Sundays.
Tyrants are tyrants...whether they are on the left OR the right. You are wrong. This was a left-leaning agenda from the progressive era that came about from the Second Great Awakening from the perfectionist movements. The idea of phohibition started as a tolerance, than the temperance movement to the outright prohibition movement. These groups had a lot of what many here would consider leftist ideas and views, and many of the ones we see propagating into today's American society have a linage from these groups, including the Shakers, and the Oneida community (whom were close to being actual communist but in their own community). These dieas started small but became large on a the big stage when a "crisis" of the right caliber happened, WWI.
There are also left and right churches. Prohibition came from the left side.

I agree...the no liquor sales until noon on Sunday IS a silly law...but it came about because of religious do-gooders. A silly belief that if liquor was not sold on Sunday morning...less alcohol would be drunk and all of those "sinners" would magically show up in the pews.

It is literally almost verbatim arguments for the "Progressives" and gun control.

To be fair, that all depends on just how seriously you take your Sunday morning brunch. ;) As someone who never missed an opportunity to order a drink and certainly never missed a meal, it's QUITE the travesty to not be able to order a Bloody Mary or Mimosa eating a nice brunch out...practically causes me to not leave the state anymore because while we won't sell you the bottle on Sunday, you can at least still buy a drink.
Seriously though, I think we can add freedom of religion to the list that you created, temperance was something pushed by the southern Democrats(absolutely correct) to push people towards God though the arm of the state. Was it a ridiculous and meek attempt at doing so after the failure of outright prohibition? Yes...but it's also the remnants of an incredibly bloody and immoral law that's mirrored today with the rest of the drug war. Unfortunately those Democrats didn't change their views when they changed parties.... It's not remotely the same as moments of silence, saying God in pledges, nor having the ten commandments in a courthouse. It's the equivalent of having one little piece of Sharia Law embedded in the code to appease Muslims.
