After studying about it, looking at it on knife porn for weeks and then drinking too much Bulleit one Fri night I found myself the soon to be owner of an Grey Micarta semi-serrated ESEE-4.
When it arrived I wasn't disappointed. I did strip the black coating off and will let it patina on it's own.
I'm going to order a Spyderco Sharpmaker to maintain the hair popping 20 degree edge. The cool thing I've been told are the ESEE serrations can be sharpened like the rest of the plain blade, no trying to sharpen each individual tooth like on some serrated edges.
