M&P 9 FS/X300U issue?

I am having trouble attaching my X300U to my M&P9FS...or maybe this is normal. I have to REALLY press to get it to seat. The bar/rail interface great, but the arse of the light is wedged HARD against the trigger-guard. Think pec-deck exercise to get it to snap into place. Is this normal? With my G19 it was rather drama-free (Yes, I switched out the U bar for the P bar since the M&P uses a 1913).

Pretty common. There's a filler piece in the rear of the light, between the switches. Pop out two pins and remove that, will give you some more wiggle room.

...but it worked perfectly once I got it finished and was able to stop cursing! THANKS!

I've got an X300U on my M&P9 and have kept the U bar in so I can throw it on my XD9 if I wanted. With the U latch and the back spacer in place, it snaps on very snug with no play at all.
