Optic
USO 1.8-10 fixed parallax @ 300yds GAP reticle Illuminated red 1/10th MILRAD adjusted. EREK elevation knob, US #1 windage
Badger Ordnance 30 mm rings and 22 MOA base
Ammunition
Federal Gold Medal Match 69 grn .223rem
Wolf Gold Match 75 grn .223 rem
Location of shooting
Two farm locations I have rights to shoot on, the first is 500yds and the other is 700yds long. Both give great data with little windage adjustment.
On May 4th I went with some friends of mine to test the rifle on the first location. This farm has a max range of 500yds. After a solid 100yd ZERO was set we went on the see what the 18” rifle could do. I setup some 2 MOA in size targets @ 200, 300, 400 and 500yds. After some DOPE finding and 30 rounds later the SPR was hitting with no issues.
After some adjustment getting use to the rifle and learning how it shoots. The rifle is just a tack driver from 500yds and under on this trip. The USO 1.8-10 works as you would expect it to and is a great optic for this kind of rifle. The FOV @ 1.8 to 3x is just the ticket for a CQB / SDM / Sniper / DM role rifle.
With the weight of the rifle and the Primary Weapon Systems DNTC Compensator seeing your hits @ 500yds is a non-issue. This rifle has no recoil and stays on target. On of the last drills I did was send down range 10 rounds is rapid fire @ 500yds. Not one round went off target on a 10” round target.

Took the SPR out to a different location and DOPE’ed the rifle out to 700yds. I placed three 12”x18” steel targets @ 500, 600, 700yds. The rifle shot both types of ammunition to a SUB to 1.25 MOA groupings at all ranges.
The Primary Weapon Systems DNTC Compensator is the best for controling the rifle out of any brake / compensator I have ever used. Seeing my splashes and hits @ 700yds was so simple I did not need a spotter to make corrections for DOPE gathering.

As of right now the rifle is a great addition to my collection of firearms. The lessons learned from this rifle and my past experience will let me design a Special Purpose Rifle class very soon for others to learn how to maximize there MK-12 SPR inspired rifles.
