Those are just molding cuts. That is where a mold point was and they didn't trim it very well. Nothing to worry about, other than it isn't visually appealing. Just about every FDE frame that has come through the shop has had that.

It's visually heartbreaking for sure, but if there's nothing to worry about, I'll get over it. They're just guns.

Thank you for the info.

Mine, FDE GEN 4 19, 21, 20 are exhibiting same. Not a crack. I'm going to try some 400 grit sandpaper and I'm betting it disappears.

You will see them on all glocks, just not as visible on the black frames. Nothing to worry about.

It's the gun's way of telling you you're not rubbing it with a diaper enough.

Pop all the guts outta the frame and clean it up with a pocketknife and some fine sandpaper.

And people wonder why everyone thinks 1911s are soooo hard to mess with...

I've found this even more obvious on the S&W M&Ps even in black.

It's a mold riser, it's necessary to get the correct flow during the injection molding process. Although I love them for what they are, I'll be the first to admit that Glocks are pretty damn hideous to begin with. It's not like a big nasty goober on a 1911 or a custom Smith 29

The marks weren't there when I bought the guns. The 26 hasn't even been fired yet.

They were there, you just didn't notice them until you had some time to spend looking over the pistol. Every Glock I own has them, some more noticable than others. It's nothing to worry about, byproduct of an injected molded poly frame pistol. All poly guns have the same type markings in different places, some just choose to clean them up better than Glock does.

There are two things going on here,

1 is the parting line from the mold

2 is the area where the trigger contacts the frame when fired

both normal. No drama here!
