Just purchased an SP 101, Does anybody re-load this one. What I was wanting to know can you load it down to 38 special velocities say 6grn of unique
Also what in your experience is a better plinking small game hunting round 125 or 140 grn bullet. Thanks

Got one for my wife; she loves it. It's never seen a factory round. My usual .38 Spl. round is a cast SWC with 4.1 grains of Unique. Of late I have bumped it up to 5.0 gr. but I get more leading than I like in most of my guns. Loading that charge with plated bullets takes care of the leading so that may become standard. 6.0 sounds like it will be in +P territory; the gun shouldn't object to it at all. I would be inclined to try the 125 grain bullets...

It's an impressive little gun, and handles my .357/125 handloads with 8.5 gr. Unique very well. Recoil is very mild for what it is.
