View Full Version : Is Colt still putting Blue Labels on 6 series AR boxes?

I have purchased a few 6920's this year all from different FFl's.

The most recent one was missing the blue label and only had a bar code label identifying it as a LE6920 and listing the serail #.

I emailed the FFl that provided this one and he said that "Colt isn't putting blue labels on their boxes anymore".

Since when I wonder?

The other 6920's I received had the blue label and according to the date stamp on the barrel under the hanguards were made in 2007.

I also have a Colt 6933 SBR at my FFL SOT that was transferred on a form 3 to him from the same dealer the 6920 came from and it's box is devoid of the blue label as well.

I checked the 6920 and it had a Diemaco bolt carrier with the Stylized "D" on it.

The 6933 had a Colt carrier with the "C" on it.

Can anyone shed any light on this blue label conundrum?

The conundrum is it ain't no big ting bra. I have 12 New recent Colt's. 4 just have the white labels. Must be the way the trades are blowin' in Hartford town. It's a cyclic event.

10-4 ..10-4

I had been losing sleep over the whole thing... until your post that is :D

I'm going keep buying them no matter what, just thought someone out there would have that definitive answer on the label thing.

We'll see.

The last few 6920s I've seen had a dark blue label on the box.

Just got my 6920 from Clyde, yes cardboard box with dark blue label.

Checked the date stamp on the barrel, and it says 05/07. Upper receiver is Diemaco.
