Any updated reviews on this stuff? All the threads I have seen on this stuff are around 5 years old.

I have only been using the Magtech/ CBC stuff lately, their M193 and 62gr, and it is great ammo. The Priv, however, is $356 SHIPPED. That is 50 dollars less than I can get the CBC.

So is this good ammo? Any problems?

Is the 50 dollar increase for the CBC worth it?

I saw that Grant use to sell this stuff. Hopefully he can chime in on how it compares.

Alright thanks guys. I guess I shall pick up that case. While my budget is still open.

PRVI ammo just runs and runs. Their match variants are anything but Match.... but I've never seen a batch of PRVI that didn't function well.

How is it compared to XM193, velocity, and accuracy wise?

I traded 5 rounds of CBC M193 for XM193, and the XM is HOT, it shot around 2 or 2.5 inches higher than my CBC at 100 yards, but I kept it within 4" while shooting it quickly.

I think XM is hotter.... and really too hot for my preferences. PRVI is hot, but not so close to redlining your gun.

I just wish people would stop trying to pronounce the name . "Privi"...? If anything people should be saying "PERVI"

When I was in Iraq from 07-09 and we couldn't get M855 we bought over 300K rounds of this ammo from Serbia. It worked well, unfortunately our Shitmaster AR15's with out of spec chambers didn't always like it. I have used it in properly built AR's and it runs great. If you are plinking, training, etc... with this ammo I don't see why you would want to shoot something that is 50.00 more.

I had a lot that had horrible precision.
I'm talking like 8-10 MOA from a 6920 and a BCM.
Never had an issue before or after that lot, but I was definitely put off by it.

Makes me wonder HOW or WHAT could make an ammo shoot that bad.

Wow, yeah that not be fun.

I ordered case. I am hoping to shoot it this weekend.

Ammo was the last thing to be blamed when it was noticed.

Checked everything, from optics and mounts to shooters and barrels. Both were back to normal group sizes with 262, PMC, and other ammo types I can't remember.

No visual issues with the ammo.

Fired some of the PPU today, it is pretty hot ammo. It fire around an inch to an inch and half higher than my CBC 5.56 62gr.

The accuracy was good as well, I actually did not fire a lot of it as I wanted to finish up the last rounds from another case.

I would get this ammo again if its still the cheapest. Brass is clean, primers were sealed.

One cannot determine velocity by group shift. Barrel flex/harmonics with different ammo is usually the culprit in group shift. Muzzle velocity can only be determined by actually measuring velocity.

Agreed. You'd need a chrono to be sure.

Thanks guys. I went by mostly how it felt when fired. The recoil impulse was a lot more aggressive with it.

I've never had any problem with it. I've fired about 500 rounds, out of some 3k rounds I bought 7 years ago. Unfortunately, you WON'T be buying any at the moment from those guys. Ahem.

They had 320 cases when I purchased it on the 12th, they were out of stock soon after that.

I've used a helluva lot of their handgun ammo, and it's been "very good to excellent" quality. If there rifle ammo is as good, I think you'll be pleased.

It's been completely reliable for me, and shockingly accurate. I was expecting to get around 2 MOA out of the Privi M193, but the first time I shot it from a bench I proceeded to shoot two 6-shot sub MOA groups with it out of my 16" CHF heavy barrel with a 1-6 scope at 100 yards. Suffice it to say me and both of my spotters were shocked, and I wouldn't believe it was capable of that if I hadn't been there.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that has noticed MOA or better groups from Privi. I like it a lot and it shoots extremely tight groups from both my Noveske chrome lined and Noveske stainless barrels. I will gladly buy this stuff again. It's always been really good for me in my guns.

PRVI should work on getting their "Match" ammo so accurate. :sarcastic:
