View Full Version : Picture Request please regarding quad rails.
I photoshopped these using the LaRue profiler (http://www.cfuze.com/LaRue_Tactical/Profiler.html) (barrel shown below is 14.5", but the tool has 16", 18" and 20" barrel options)

Seeing the pic from the profiler kinda' makes me wish LaRue would make a rail like the Knights MRE or the DD FSP 12.0.
great thread...ive been pondering a 10" rail for my 14.5" LMT upper...but now im thinking a 12" rail would be nice too.
i just dont want the gun to be super nose heavy.
can anyone give idea's of how balanced thier rifle is with 10-12" rail's on a 14.5" barrel?
Grip,
I have a LMT 14.5 with a Daniel Defense 12.0 FSP and it is actually pretty light. I have compared it to a LMT MRP rifle length with a 14.5 and a similar set up using a Vltor Vis and a Noveske barrel. My gun is quite a bit lighter than both and it is certainly not nose heavy. Below is a pic of my buddy Scot's Noveske N4 that is almost identical in set up and weight to my LMT.
