SureFire 212A
SureFire 556K
SureFire Scout (W/ LT Scout Mount)
VLTOR VIS

Usually when I hear plinker I think of a cheaper lower tiered AR delegated purely for non-defensive use. I was wrong.

Uhhhhh...I almost had a stroke.

I bought a VIS from Grant and just ordered an LMT BCG, Noveske N4 barrel and a Surefire 212A TODAY FROM HIM!!!

I plan on a UBR, TROY BUIS and Tangodown grip as well...

Basically, that's my rifle (without the badass sound suppressor, of course).

GRANT, that thing is SICK....

We all have different definitions of things. ;)

Yes I think the best definition for that is rifle is über.

From wiki:

Über comes from the German language. It is a cognate of both Latin super and Greek ύπερ (hyper), as well as English over (as in "overkill"). During the 2000s, über also became known as a synonym for super....

And I thought we were gonna see Grant's latest über 10/22 build (https://www.m4carbine.net/showpost.php?p=85238&postcount=1). :D

Looks just awesome, Grant.

Very nice Grant - and great pics!

Are those c-clips on the trigger group pins, and what safety selector is that? Just curious ;)

The Trigger group is JP and so is the selector.

You're just saying that so they give you first dibs on an ACR;)

Nice build Grant,
Couple of questions about it:

1. What does LMT BCG "fitted" mean? (are you just referring to properly torqued and staked carrier key), or something else?

2. In the SECOND to last pic you posted, what kind of ladder style rail panel covers are those? They have a unique "divot" pattern down the middle of them, that I have never seen before.
Very interesting. Unless I've missed something, I've just never seen that before. Looks quite neat to say the least.

1. The bolt is fitted to the barrel.

2. Those are the SureFire Z70 ladders. They are my favorite ladders as they have a good "rubbery" feel to them and are cheap (3 pack for $15).

Grant, what is that you have in front of the forward assist. I keep looking at it and can't figure it out.

Are you talking about the brass deflector?

Razorhunter

That's exactly what it is. The SHELL DEFLECTOR. See the brass marks????

Ron S.

Tks, yea, it must be the deflector. I see the brass marks on it. I had just never seen anything other than the molded "bump" on the upper receiver.
