View Full Version : Colt's Magpul and SOCOM edition carbines
Do you think these will be in production for some time to come, or will Colt move on to some new variant in a year or so?
Its best to NEVER try and predict what Colt will do. If you want one, buy one.

Colt has already changed the rail they are using on the socom from KAC to Troy. Supposedly because FN is receiveing rails from KAC for government contracts and not enough to go around.

This is safe advice. I doubt they will discontinue the SOCOM anytime soon, but try have changed the rail to the Troy rail. If you're looking for the KAC rail, Clyde Armory still has a few in stock.
With the release of Magpul's MLok and MOE SL products, I would expect to see a change in factory equipped Magpul guns in the coming year. But then again, manufacturers may very well be slow to transition.
