Had these two pics forwarded to me asking if I could glean anything about the gun. Heirloom firearm in a buddy's family and no one remembers any details other than it's "very old"

Looks like a tokarev at first glance but did FN make tokarevs?

Neat old gun. I don't know anything about them. But it's a much rarer pistol than a Tokarev.
