View Full Version : Surefire bulbs?
It seems my G2Z has a burned out bulb. At least I think it does because fresh batteries don't seem to do anything. How often do these bulbs need to be replaced?
It's not unusual for them to burn out every so often....usually after they've been running a while and gotten nice and hot and then gets bumped hard.
Do you have a place that carries them locally?

Nope. Grant was local until he moved back to where his kin come from :D
I know that they aren't "local" for you, but DeGoff's should have some.
Surefire designs their bulbs for around a 25 hour life span, I think. Impacts kill them too. It generally seems that if they survive the first set of batteries, they last for a very long time.

Marc, try one of the Wolf Eyes Bulbs I sell for $12. I think you will be impressed (especially at the price).

Grant how does the p61 bulb compare to say a p90?

The P61 gives you about 15 more Lumens, but only 20 minutes run time.

Listen to the man! The 6V bulb was as bright as my 9V P90! I've seen no reduction in lifetime with them (yet) either.

I seem to need a new P60/P61 bulb about every 4-5 sets of batteries.

What is the runtime like with the 6V wolfeyes bulb?
In my 6P/G2s (P60 or P61), I've found the lifespan of the bulb to be inversely proportionate to the average length of illumination. Cumulative effect of heat, I'd guess.

70 Minutes at 80 Lumens. If you use their rechargeable batts, it is about 60 minutes.
