My great uncle served as an officer with Patton's Third Army during WW2, going all the way to Germany and the surrender. After he passed on, I inherited a couple of trunks that contained artifacts of his army career. Among the German items were two small triangular yellow flags with a deaths head type logo in black. The were mounted on red wire jigs. Does anyone have any idea what they arez or if they're even German. I know that my great uncle had some contact with the Soviets at the end of the war, but all of the momentos are Wermacht stuff. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/27/ura3y2a5.jpg

Looks to be a German mine flag/marker.

Looks to be a German mine flag/marker.

That would be my first guess.
