Is there a way to make the Surefire E2D LED single stage?

I have an E2D surefire led head that I am using as a weapon light on a scout light body. I am trying to figure out a way to disable the low output stage. Any ideas?

Just grab a Malkoff scout head. $70 and well worth it. Great beam. Very well machined.

Malkoff beam is far wider (less throw) than the E2DL. No way to disable the low without serious surgery. You should just get a Surefire KX2C head, which is essentially a single stage E2DL without the teeth.

I have seen the answer to this somewhere on the internet a while back and I seem to recall it requiring a cut to the connection to sever the high to low function FOREVER.
