For many years (going back to the late 1990's) I have used Winchesters Dynapoint's. Originally this ammo was ONLY available at Kmart. The Dynapoint is a long rifle, 40gr, copper plated HP.

Muzzle velocity out of a rifle is around 1150 and out of a pistol is 950. This makes it a pretty good choice for Suppressor users.

Generally speaking, accuracy of "value or bulk packed" ammo is poor. The accuracy of this ammo is very good. In fact, I often used it in small bore competitions with good results!

As of late, I have been getting into more and more dedicated .22 AR's and been building custom Ruger 10/22's and MKII's. I have also taken to suppressing these types of weapons. This has resulted in a search for a quality bulk ammo. I could not find this ammo at my local Kmart and none of the Winchester distributors I had accounts with stocked this ammo (until now). Well last week, I found a source for this ammo (happy joy dance took place).

So to my fell Winchester Dynapoint fans (or those that have never heard of this ammo before), life is good and we are now stocking this ammo in QTY. ;)

That's odd... I don't remember seeing pictures of these posted. (hint... hint...)

Yeah, the DynaPoint is a step up from the Winchester Wildcat's unplated bullet. When I was buying bulk .22, Wildcat was everywhere.

Hey Grant what is the .22 AR in the bottom pic, and what .22 AR's would you recommend for a dedicated trainer?

I don't know how I missed those... very nice!

Didn't mean to hijack. DynaPoint = good.

It is the new Tactical Solutions dedicated .22 AR barrel and BCG. I would highly recommend them. We are also building custom uppers using their components.

Thanks Grant, I assume I can use any standard AR lower. What would the approx price be on a standard 22 barrel on a flat top. You can PM me if you prefer. The way things have been hitting us I don't have an exact time frame, but we have talked about a dedicated 22 AR and eventually plan on getting something like this.

That is a rifle that he built from a dedicated Tactical Solutions .22 barrel and bolt carrier group. You can see more info on it here:

Thanks for the link Mr. Jones, it was very helpful. I would like, at somepoint, to get a complete upper from Grant. Thanks again.

Any lower will do. Generally speaking, a basic one with plastic HG's would run about $539-$600.
