I've been looking at this scope for a while for my 18 inch bull barrel build ("spr" style). I have a Primary Arms FFP 4x14 that I got from a friend and been impressed with the quality for the amount of money. It allowed me to see if I really like this style of shooting without spend a lot of $$ up front.

What I have to have:
FFP
MIL reticle
exposed turrets
30mm tube.

I have two. A 1-4 pst mil/mil on an AR, and the 6-24 ffp EBR-1 mrad on my Remington 700. I like them both. PST's can get somewhat negative reviews on longrange shooting forums but $950 is really just scratching the surface of a decent longrange scope. Others in it's price range, such as Bushnel Elite Tactical, Sightron SIII, or the new Burris XTRII, all will have similar shortcomings. The PST had the features I like at the right price. The Burris XTRII looks real promising and I would have given it more consideration but being $250 more and the fact I would have had to buy 34mm rings made the PST a much better buy for me.
