View Full Version : The Sandman Nomad AR15
I have seen some rather unique ARs over the years and some rather creative advertising schemes, but this is the first time I've ever heard of a "bring back war souvenir". Introducing the Sandman Nomad AR15. I'm sorry Jesse James, but if I want a rifle that's "authentically weathered for the ultimate battle scarred finish" I'll simply take it & use it myself- and for much less than $4000. I like the look of worn finishes, but it has to be honestly earned

Just when you think it couldn't possibly get any stranger, Jesse James Arms is proud to present the AR15 Nomad, complete with faux RPG for a mere $3500

These are the ARs the Sand People would be carrying on Tatooine if not for the Imperial Blockade
Looks like a child's doodle of a rifle: Not understanding how any of it works, they just stick a bunch of cool-looking bits as-seen-on-TV together and...

The sandman AR is a little much with the battle scarred finish and the suppressor is a little weird but not terrible.
I expect quite a few people will buy his stuff even with the high price tags.
And its still not as bad as NEMO's $100,000 titanium AR.
I'm dead and living in AR15 hell.

I saw these in a Kentucky Gun CO email newsletter yesterday... Looked at it then thought to myself "Man, I could build a very nice SBR, get a can, aimpoint optics, and tax stamps with plenty of $$$ left over for training / ammo with that price tag."
But hey, it's 6.1 lbs! That's gotta count for something right?
I'm sure he'll sell as many as he makes to whatever his fanboys call themselves.
So you can build an AR with an Erector Set? The ATF needs to step in and control Erector Sets NOW!
When is JJ going to cater to his base and offer Ed Hardy and Tapout models?

Actually, the Ti NEMO is a concept AR, never meant to be offered for sale. The same idea as an automaker building a concept car for an auto show to show off what what they can accomplish and to gauge consumer reaction to certain ideas. I get the NEMO. But the JJ ARs? I agree with IG, the Sandman has put me to sleep and I awoke in AR Hell
AR purgatory......
I must go shoot my BCM to purify my AR soul.

The only thing missing is an Affliction-embroidered rifle case.

Wow... I don't give a $#!t about JJ one way or the other but I don't much care for his ARs or 1911s.

Am I the only one who finds it ironic that an AR named the "Sandman" doesn't even have a goddamn dust cover?

This is an AR that could even draw criticism on TOS. Shouldn't even be a thread on this site.

The trigger on the Sandman looks innovative.

I see that and instantly think "hmm that could get me two AR15's I actually like an SR15, a custom build, and maybe some optics like Aimpoint PROs"

Honestly as long as there is a market for it, there will be boutique brands.

A sad day for the development of the platform for sure. What a waste of materials.
I wonder if they will rattle themselves apart like his bikes?

Really? I thought Fake Jesse had his 15 minutes run out long ago? This is the same dumbass concept as distressed jeans that teeny boppers wear. Glad to see him sticking to his fan base of teenagers that have posters of useless 1 gallon tank, uncomfortable to ride, about to rattle apart motorbikes. I'm sure the posters of these "AR's" will sell well at wally world to the tacticrap ninja's and Call of Duty fan-fools.:bad:
Just buy one and shoot a Pat Rogers class already!

A guy at work was looking at these and the 1911's he makes. He thought they looked pretty cool.
I quickly took him to the BCM website to show him what he should be buying.

Oh Lord.
Spend 10 hours of machine time milling out every single nook and cranny on every single part and then use the HEAVIEST STOCK ASSEMBLY EVER BUILT BY MANKIND on it.
Sound fundamental thinking there.

This.... Sums it up. Not only that, but why no lightweight barrel? Further proof these are inline with his 1 gallon gas tanks. A fool and his money.
Those rifles are pretty much the equivalent of the people you would see shopping at walmart at midnight.
I doubt he'll sell more than 100 total

That's the deal with boutique rifles. "limited run", all it needs is ed hardy rail covers! (stated earlier i think)

For a guy who can take a pallet of bar stock and sheet metal and turn it into a thing of beauty . . . these rifles look like another "parts are parts" Red Jacket fare. What gives Jesse?
The only thing missing is an Affliction-embroidered rifle case.
I think Black Rain has the market on tapout/affliction gear! That rail looks like a fortis rev with fortis grip.
